पी.यू.डी.आर. अपनी रिपोर्ट ‘काओ विजिलांतिज़म : क्राइम, कम्युनिटी एंड लाइवलीहुड, जनवरी 2016 से मार्च 2018’ जारी कर रहा है। इस रिपोर्ट में जनवरी 2016 से मार्च 2018 के बीच घटित गौ रक्षा के नाम पर गुंडागर्दी की घटनाओं का विश्लेषण है। इन गौ-गुंडागर्दी या विजिलांते गतिविधियों को हिंदी एवं अंग्रेजी अखबारों और तथ्यान्वेषी रिपोर्टो के माध्यम से इकट्ठा किया गया है। पी.यू.डी.आर. ने जनवरी 2016 से लेकर अब तक की 137 गौ-गुंडागर्दी (गौ-विजिलांतिज्म) गतिविधियों का लेखाजोखा तैयार किया है। इन घटनाओं में 20 हत्या की वारदाते है जिनमें कुल 29 लोगों की जानें गयीं थीं। यह रिपोर्ट आर.एस.एस.

31 October 2017 - thirty three years have passed since the anti-Sikh pogrom carried out in Delhi between 31st October and 4th November 1984, following the assassination of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi by her Sikh body guards.  The official figure of those massacred in the violence stands at 2700, while according to unofficial estimates it is closer to 4000 in Delhi alone.  The genocide spread to another 40 cities including Kanpur, Bokaro, Ranchi etc. over the next few days resulting in about another 5000 deaths.

5 मई 2017 को शब्बीरपुर गाँव, जिला सहारनपुर उत्तर प्रदेश, में राजपूतों द्वारा दलितों पर हमले की एक घटना हुई। इस हिंसा के दौरान एक राजपूत युवक की मृत्यु हो गई थी, 13 दलित लोग गंभीर रूप से घायल हुए थे, 40 दलित घरों को जला दिया गया था व दलितों की कुछ दुकानों को लूटा और जलाया गया था। मीडिया ने इस हिंसक घटना को राजपूतों और दलितों के बीच हुई हिंसा-प्रतिहिंसा के तौर पर रिपोर्ट किया।

The increasing instances of cow vigilantism and legal interpolations related to beef ban and cow slaughter have been making news from the time Bhartiya Janata Party led Central Government came to power. The overtly communal and casteist agenda of cow protectionism has often resulted in violence on cattle-traders and others involved in the sale, transport or consumption of beef in any way, with the majority of those attacked being Muslims and Dalits.

On 5th May 2017, an incident of attack on Dalits by the Rajputs occurred in the village Shabbirpur, located near Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. During the attack a youth from the Rajput community died, 13 Dalits were grievously injured, more than 40 Dalit houses were burnt, some of their shops looted and burnt. The incident was widely reported in the media as an incident of caste violence between the Rajputs and the Dalits, where 25 houses of Dalits were set on fire. A PUDR team conducted a fact-finding into the incident on 9th May 2017.
