PUDR expresses shock, anger and outrage at the acquittal of Sajjan Kumar in a 1984 case. The CBI Court at Karkardooma indicted the other four accused while acquitting Kumar. The judgement sets aside the Nanavati Commission report findings and those of the CBI which had found “a terrible conspiracy” between Kumar and the police. This judgement violates all principles of natural justice, revealing the compromised character of the judiciary.
PUDR strongly condemns the Congress party for its role in now failing to punish the guilty and providing some measure of justice to the families of those killed.
