PUDR releases its updated report “Custodial Death of Suraj Prakash, Adarsh Nagar Police Station, Delhi: Five Months After” today. This report marks the passing of 5 months after the death of Suraj Prakash in the custody of the Delhi Police and draws attention to the events that preceded and followed this death. Through this the specific incident the report raises concerns about the procedures, investigation and inquiry that follow incidents of custodial deaths in Delhi.  In many ways it is this routine aftermath, rarely reported upon that determines the fate of justice, and accounts substantial for the repeated occurrence of custodial violence
